How to review a lawyer's account info

You can see a list of all lawyers participating in your LRS network under the “Lawyers” tab of your dashboard. You can order this list using the “Sort by” and "Filter by" dropdowns that are revealed when you click the "Filter & Sort" button. You can also search for lawyers by name, firm, or unique ID using the "Search" bar.

At the top level of the Lawyer Account card, you'll see (1) the lawyer's name, law firm, and unique id (if given); (2) the number of overdue reports the lawyer has; and (3) whether the lawyer's account is live and eligible to receive referrals. If the lawyer's account is not live, you will see the list of reasons for that (e.g. "Requires active malpractice insurance").

To view the details of a particular lawyer's account, simply click on the lawyer’s card and it will expand. Click on any of the section headers (e.g. “Legal Services”) to see details about the lawyer related to the Section header. Here's an example of an expanded lawyer card:For each lawyer, you are able to review the following information.

  • Contact Info The phone number and email address of the lawyer. This information is provided to potential clients when they submit a request through your portal. (Note that an optional portal feature lets you allow lawyers to opt to provide only their phone number to potential clients, instead of providing both their email and phone number when the client is referred to the lawyer.)
  • Public Profile All of the information that is displayed to members of the public who access your online portal and view the lawyer's profile. (Note that an optional feature lets you allow lawyers to opt out of appearing in the online intake system entirely.)
  • Legal Services The legal services that the lawyer offers through your portal.
  • Coverage Area The list of geographic areas where the lawyer is willing to meet and represent clients in person.
  • Tags The arbitrary keywords (e.g. "weekend hours") that you have elected to associate with the lawyer. Once a tag has been associated with a lawyer, it can be used to filter your list of panel lawyers when making referrals via that admin "Add matter" feature.
  • Overdue Reports The list of matters where a lawyer has been prompted by an automated email from our system to submit a report and the "grace period" (e.g. 14 days) to submit that report has elapsed. Note that some networks do not enable the Overdue Reports feature.
  • Professional Liability Insurance (optional feature) This is where you can review proof of insurance submitted by your lawyer users, add proof of insurance on their behalf, or delete it.
  • Change Status This is where you can disable or enable lawyer accounts. Disabled lawyer accounts cannot receive referrals; enabled lawyer accounts are eligible to receive referrals (though they may have other issue with their account that prevent them from receiving referrals).
  • Notes Any notes you or another network administrator have added about the lawyer. These notes are not viewable by the lawyer or potential clients.

Note that we will be adding functionality to edit the lawyer's contact info and public profile in the coming weeks.
